MARKETING MANAGER - Escapism Bars

Location: Based in the vibrant offices above Cuckoo, Call Lane, Leeds.

Salary: £34,000 per annum.

Hours: Flexible 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm with a 1-hour lunch break.

Holidays: 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays, calculated pro-rata).

The Role

We’re on the hunt for a dynamic Marketing Manager to drive the visibility and voice of our seven iconic bars. This role places you at the epicentre of our fast-paced, fun-filled environment, requiring a blend of creativity, commercial acumen, and excellent organisational skills. You’ll be the Brand Guardian, shaping our narrative, extending our reach, and ensuring our parties are the talk of the city.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Managing Director, Marketing Agencies, and our dedicated team, ensuring our marketing strategy is not just met but exceeded.
  • Understand and cater to the unique customer profiles and demographics of each brand.
  • Create engaging marketing communications for venues, implementing distinctive voices for each, adhering to and enforcing brand guidelines.
  • Strategize, build, and execute campaigns across both B2B and B2C spectrums, closely collaborating with our Marketing Strategy and venue General Managers (GMs).
  • Create and maintain an annual events calendar to drive revenue and support sales growth.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign results for each venue, adjusting strategies as needed for optimization.
  • Manage our Social Media Manager, guiding the social media strategy to align with overarching business goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of website management, ensuring up-to-date, engaging content that mirrors our active campaigns and strategic goals.
  • Craft and oversee printed literature to maintain brand consistency across menus, brochures, flyers, and more ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to.
  • Regularly visit venues to assess and uplift the presentation and customer experience in line with our brand voice.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A passionate, energetic individual ready to make their mark in the bustling nightlife industry.
  • Strong social, commercial, and practical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A self-starter who can effectively manage time and prioritize tasks without missing a beat.
  • Exceptional copywriting and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with B2C and B2B campaign planning, execution, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends in social and digital marketing, with a knack for identifying and leveraging new opportunities.
  • Experience managing email marketing /CRM systems and editing website content is preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience in marketing communications within the hospitality or entertainment sectors is preferred but not essential.

Tiki Hideaway & Mean-Eyed Cat Bar landed in Manchester’s Northern Quarter in September 2023, and we’re on the lookout for a General Manager to take the venue to the next level! Born in Leeds but a new venue to Manchester, Tiki Hideaway is a Polynesian themed Hidden Bar, with amazing cocktails & a vibe that won’t be beaten! The role would also lead Mean-Eyed Cat, a Deep South Dive Bar taking inspiration from Johnny Cash and the greats.

We’re looking to hire to hire an exceptional individual to work alongside our current teams in Leeds, Liverpool, and of course Manchester, whilst learning the ropes of Escapism Bars with our Management Training Academy.

Experience preferred;

  • 2 Years of GM in a high volume bar setting
  • Personal licence and Food safety Level 2

What’s included:

  • 48 Hours per week
  • 34k Salary with opportunities for Bonus after 6 month probation
  • A share of tips through TipJar
  • 4 team trips a year and lots of other juicy little perks.
